Dhanush is an Indian actor, director, producer, writer, playback singer, lyricist, and screenplay writer. He was born on 28 July 1983 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Dhanush works in the Tamil film industry and established himself as a leading & commercially successful actor. He made his on-screen debut with the film Thulluvadho Ilamai (2002).
Dhanush received the 5th National Film Award for Best Actor for the film Aadkalam (2010). In addition to film acting, Dhanush is also a very popular playback singer.
