About Ekana International Cricket Stadium
The Ekana International Cricket Stadium, officially known as the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, is a cricket stadium in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. It has a seating capacity of 50,000, making it the fifth-largest international cricket stadium in India. The stadium was inaugurated on February 16, 2018, with a T20I match between India and West Indies. It hosted its first ODI match on November 6, 2018, between India and West Indies.
The stadium is the home ground of the Uttar Pradesh cricket team, the UP women’s cricket team, and the Lucknow Super Giants of the Indian Premier League. It was also used as the home ground of the Afghanistan cricket team in 2019.
