Pranab Mukherjee is an Indian Politician. He was born on 11 December 1935 in Mirati, Bengal Presidency, British India (Mirati, West Bengal, India). He served as the 13th President of India from 2012 to 2017. Pranab Mukherjee was the senior leader of the Indian National Congress. Pranab Mukherjee studied L.L.B and M.A in Politician Science and in History as well, all from the University of Calcutta. He started his political career in 1969, Prime Minister Mrs. Indira Gandhi engaged him in her party ‘The Indian National Congress’ and he became a member of the Rajya Sabha in 1969. He was the leader of the house in the Rajya Sabha from 1980 to 1985. Pranab Mukherjee was elected to Lok Sabha in 2004, 2009 to 2012 and he became the leader of Lok Sabha from 2014 to 2012.
